1995 SouthWind Wanting a Rear and side Cameras

I have a 1995 SouthWind class A 32 feet. I am wanting to put a rear and both side cameras on it. However there is only the top running lights to tap into for power. is there another option so that the headlights wont have to be on. Also what is a good brand to get? Needing to update the old girl.

I've had side cameras on my last and current coach. I don't like them and don't use them. They really give you a poor view of the side of the coach. Most likely you want to use them for lane changing. If you're passing someone, it's much easier to look at the rear camera and see when your coach or toad has passed them.

If you need to just look down the side of the coach, it's easier to just use your mirrors.

I would concentrate on a good quality WIRED camera, not a wireless. My sons-in-law both wanted wireless for their fifth wheels. I was buying them as a gift and I tried to talk them out of it, but they insisted. They're okay, but heavy wireless traffic with cause them to drop out.

You should have cabinets with lights in them in the rear of the coach to pull 12 volt power. Run a cable under the coach and up a back wall into a cabinet and then out the back of the coach.

I used favorite online store and got complete set.. 4 cameras and 8 in display.. all self powered through cables to hook into cameras and display .. just hook up screen then have DW hold cameras and Mark them where you like them.. as long as easily accessible to back side.. so you can route cables.. for me.. in front of front wheels.. use holes saw on a drill and camera covers hole..just caulk real good after you are done.. I ran 4 cables though floor behind pass side kick plate..
There are many different trigger wires you can wire in.. but you don't really need them..
Screen is color and night vision.. and screen can do... split or 1 cam or all 4..
Less than 400.00 seems good for me.. covers that pesky It blind spot where DW is not there to yell after I hit something.. 2 backup cams is much better.. 1 up hi and one on bumper.. so I can really see what I hit when backing up and DW yells after I smash something .. I like the system that records to SD. Card.. so we can watch it again and just see who is at falt.. me or DW..
