Info on the furnace make and model would be a big help ; BUT : I'm 99% sure you're looking at removing the motor to check for debris or a broken "squirrel cage "fan.

Do you have the furnace owners manual ?

Heater! Holy smokes here in Florida all you have to do is open the front door to get all the heat you can stand lol!

You may want to open the unit to see if any bugs have found and built a home on your fan.

Thank You for a place to start. I do have a pamphlet on the heater. I will look at the fan.

The "full of marbles" description sounds very much like the squirrel cage style fan has disintegrated. Some of them are plastic and make an awful racket when they fly apart.

The solution would be to replace the fan on the motor shaft but that is often challenging. May require removing the furnace to get at it.

What make & model of furnace? You can get a free service manual for yours at https://bryantrv.com/docs.html#furnace
