1997 monaco dynasty

does anybody have a owners manual that states how many ounces of refrigerant the chassis air conditioner takes.

Thanks for the info.I thought it would be about 4 Lbs. I'll try that and go from there. Couldnt get link to open either

Mine had a sticker right on it, mine is a F53 chassis but I doubt it would be too far off, it is 40 or 42oz IIRC (just shy of 4lb)

No matter what you do, replace the high/low side schrader valves before you start. My system was charged perfectly and after I did that check all my r134 leaked out.....schrader valve didn't seal right

Also get manifold gauges, don't rely on weights to fill the system, go off high/low side pressures. If you replaced any components (accumulator, compressor, etc) you may also need to replace a commensurate amount of PAG oil. (some components come pre-loaded, others don't, so you need to know before hand)
