Hi, we have had a lot of trouble starting our motorhome. I was told the fuel pump is located outside of the fuel tank? Is this right? I'm pretty sure it needs replacing.

The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank, will need to drop the tank unless someone put in an access panel in the floor ... Have you changed the fuel filter lately - It's on the frame rail near the front of the motorhome. Any noises from the fuel pump ? Have you checked the fuel pressure ?

There could be a filter on the outside of the tank. That could be a good spot to break the fuel line apart and test for pressure
