1999 Holiday Rambler Imperial 40CDS

I am going to look at a HR Imperial 40CDS with 40K miles and wondering if there might be particulars to this coach that I should be looking for.I am new to class A DP's so any help would be appreciated. I no the question is quite subjective to condition and appearance but is there a reasonable price based on NADA average retail that is a fair rule of thumb?

We have same year and make, but model WDS. Maybe different floor plan? Initially we were looking at newer unit but came across this, very good condition so bought. We have had no problems, easy to service (as easy as they get) not bad fuel consumption, etc. Any major parts have been easy to locate, some older like entry door handle a bit harder. Anyway

Thank you for the response.I went and looked yesterday at the coach.Very clean and well kept inside ,no rust in the chassis and many options only problem was delamination on the drivers side wall in back of the slide so I walked away from a 30K coach with 39000 miles and a whole bunch of options.

Any thoughts Anyone?

Mine is a '96 HR DP and Priscilla has blemishes too. With all of her leaks sealed, she wilts no more. What she also had was a low purchase price because of them, which allowed for some upgrades throughout. The purists in the RV world for some reason feel your rig has to be pristine, and maybe yours does as well. I on the other hand have just returned from 6,000 mile, 3 month excursion with memories I will treasure for life and an RV that has given me good service despite her extra bumps. Without having to give up the rest of my life to pay for it she's just what Dr. Steve ordered. If and when I sell her, I'll reflect her flaws in the price to the next happy owner. HR makes a good rig which will last well beyond the purist's vision with just a little TLC. Since purchase and remodel in early '15 I've put 18K miles on her, and she's ready to go again.
Only three people make money on RV's; manufacturer, dealer, and some banks.
Enjoy, life's to short.
