2 Wallys

I’m getting a coach with a dish network in motion satellite dish. Can I connect 2 Wally’s?

Welcome to the forum!

You may be better served looking in the technology forum as they have lots and lots of satellite TV discussions there.

That depends on the antenna. Does it have two coax leads coming into the coach?

Also, you know that with any dome antenna you will only be able to watch the channels on the satellite that the primary Wally is tuned to. The secondary Wally can only "see" the same satellite as the primary and cannot be tuned to a different satellite.

The wingiard x2 can handle 2 TV sets but you need a-second wally. The Pathway X2 is portable and uses east coast and west coast satellites

If the satellite dish has two outputs then you can connect two receivers. However, only one receiver can be primary (controls which satellite the dish is pointing at) and the second receiver can only tune the channels on the satellite the primary has selected.

If the primary receiver is pointed at a channel on the 119 satellite and the secondary receiver wants to watch something on the 129 satellite, the secondary can't tune it.

I ran a standard receiver and a wally at the same time and could change channels as desired. So I don't see why you can not run two wally's. If you are thinking about wally as a receiver as I did, remember you need to spend an extra eight bucks or so if you want to record a program and you can only record one at a time. Also if you want the option to pause and skip commercials the Wally wont do it. None of this was told to me when I jumped the gun and bought one. I posted a question and allot of guys are buying older receivers and using them in their rv. Dish will tell you you are not supposed to use the house receiver in your rv but they still turn it on and off for you and trouble shoot it when called.
Good Luck and keep us posted please. "Q"
