Lightbulb 2000 coachman electrical issue

I purchased a 2000 Coachman Santara 3600 MBS. I have an issue with the 12V system. When the rig is either plugged into shore power or the generator is running I have 12V power throughout the coach. But when I disconnect power or shut off the generator I have 12V at the front of the coach for the driving functions and in the slide out.

Does anyne know what the fix for this issue is and can/should I attept to fix it myself?

Thank you,

Fred

Check the batteries too. How old are they?

I will check the switch. I do know I messed with it when we winterized it. The batteries were good when I placed it into storage.

When the RV was purchased in October I just got the RV, no manuals. So far I have been able to obtain some manuals online to complete the collection.

Thanks guys

It definitely is something to do with your batteries (old?) - maybe inverter (on or off?) or a house switch setting. Your stuff is running off your chassis battery when just the cab, dash and slides work. All of the other outlets should be through your inverter and house batteries when the generator is off or you don't have shore power.....

I checked the switch this weekend. That was the issue.

I have another question. I understand there is suppose to be a switch to use the Washing machine. I can't seem to find any switch. Any clue where I could find it?

I had a Coachman - but don't anymore. My current coach has a washer and the juice is only plugged into a wall outlet. No switches. If your wall plugs don't have juice - check the fuse box and any GFI's in the coach. My Coachman didn't have a washer and dryer - so I don't know for sure on that brand.

Fred- Welcome to IRV2

If you don't have one, the Coachmen Santara manual is here: http://www.coachmenrv.com/OwnersManuals/14140505.pdf

Service manuals and owners manuals for appliances are here. Service Documents and Manuals

Hope this helps...
