2000 Sea View National RV
Just bought our first RV never own any before so happy so far. We want to find out if it is possible to do something about the sewer drain hose. We have to leave the storage door open when it is connected to the on site sewer connection.
Thanks

I gather you mean there is no exit hole for the hose except via the door? If so, you can cut a circular hole in the floor of the compartment and install as marine deck plate.
Something like this will work and is easy enough to add:

I suggest you you ask the other National owners here and find the Yahoo group that specializes in National RV owners and the fun we share in our great rigs.

I put a clear 90 on mine and direct the drain hose through the center opening in the tray. The hole National put in near the sewer line is not lined up with the drain and is pretty much unusable.

I took it that he didn't have the hole, but if he does, I also use a clear 45° to direct it done through the hole. I also use steel wool to keep out the little furry pita's.

Didn't think about that, assumed he had a hole in the tray, I have two square and one round in mine. Think he would have the same unless a previous owner modified the floor in his.
