2001 Fleetwood Discovery hot water heater

My mh has an atwood 10 gallon hot water heater. The tank is leaking and i had a rv repairman come look at it today. He told me they no longer make it. What are my options? I looked at a tankless system but just wanted to get some options/opinions.

Welcome to iRV2.

I had to replace my 10 gal, Suburban water heater last Oct.
I phoned 6 places and looked online . I had one place come back and say there was only one available in Canada and $1,200 CDN, 7 days out of Ontario . { self edit }
Others came back with prices from $740 to again over $1,000.
The water heater was over night freighted from the USA . Included in price. $740. Found the same heater on special at Camping World for $560 USD. Considering the exchange rate ; I didn't do bad.
Get your water heaters Make and model and shop around , If Atwood doesn't make your model , they probably make a direct replacement , call them directly if you have to .
