Hey guys / girls, I have a question on my city / fresh water hook up.
Is there a one-way valve at the hook up 'where the hose screws onto'? I'm getting a drip from it when I turn it to city and the pump runs. Is there supposed to be a cap on it like my TT was?

Yes, there is. But they very often develop leaks. AND it's not unusual for there to be a plastic screw in cap attached to the fill connector. My '02 Winnebago came with one. AND you can get a plastic shut off that is only an inch or two long to attach there. Lots of work around things you can do for that problem. Mine has dripped since I bought the RV but with all those work around methods of dealing with it I've never bothered to check upstream to find the one-way valve.

You can probably find a cap for it at an RV dealer, and a small shut off at any garden supply. Oh, and they would probably have the cap too...if there's a hardware section.

I did order and receive a pair of inline check valves a couple years ago but still haven't gotten around to installing one. It was $8 for the pair at eBay. Silly of me but I'll get to it someday. Meanwhile, I don't have a drip using the cap when needed anyway so no hurry.

Welcome to the forum!!

Please post a photo of your wet bay water connections and valves. Are you running your pump when your city water connection is connected to shore water?

Yes, the city inlet has a check valve, which is necessary to keep water from flowing back out when no hose it connected. A drip without the hose is a faulty (or merely stuck slightly open) check valve. If the drip occurs with the hose connected, the problem is the hose washer in the threaded fitting, not the check valve.

I had to replace the check valve on the Swann valve on my Monaco. Mine would drip a little when the city water hose was not connected and the pump was on.
