2003 American Tradition rear bags won't air up

2003 American Tradition rear bags won't air up after tire company installed new rear tires...

I am wondering where I can find a schematic or some diagram that shows the rear air system, solenoid etc. The coach airs up fine with the tank and purges when full and the front comes up. but nothing at the rear... No air hissing sound that I can tell from the bags... Don't know if the tire company didn't air down before jacking or?

So I am open to any suggestions.. Thanks for reading and your time...

Check the link to the air ride valve. I have seen these links cam over and cause the air to not be diverted through the air leveling valve to the air springs.

I don't know what leveling system you have but I had the same issue recently after having new tires installed. I drove straight out of the shop bay to the parking lot. Turned off engine and hit the "Level" button which empties all air bags. Started engine and pressed "Store" button and all was good. No issues since.

X2 on check the vertical rod on the height control valves.

WARNING. Do not get under the coach without some sort of cribbing or support to keep it off you. You will be working with the suspension system after all. Make it safe for you to work on.

Did they use MH leveling system to raise for tires?
If so check ride height valves linkage arms might have pull off.

As others have mentioned it probably has something to do with the air ride leveler valves which are between the top of the rear tires and the frame on our 2002 AC. Could be as simple as linkage off or cammed over or knocked out of adjustment. The rubber bushings in those links can dry rot and fail and fall out under duress also.

Pictures found nothing damaged

Got underneath and inspected everything and can find nothing wrong.. Everything appears intact. so It must be NOT getting the signal to inflate.. Where to track that down? Possible wiring diagram??. Have a better pic of the tank and both solenoids.. all looks good...

It looks like your suspension is in an extended position looking at the bags and shocks. Is that a piece of wood under the bottom air bag mount? Im sure no expert by any means bur something isnt looking right to me. I hope Im wrong.

NO...... Just up on the leveling jacks so I could get underneath to inspect. The air bag is discolored from sitting in the down position for a year.. and I just extended it by picking up the coach...... And no that is not a piece of wood.. It ia a very strong heavy duty metal bracket /arm you can't see from this viewpoint..

Do you have an HWH leveling system?

If so, do you know where the six pack of leveling solenoids is located?

The travel solenoids will be the ones closest to the bulkhead where the six pack is mounted. A quick sanity check, with the key on, and coach in travel mode, is if a steel washer will stick to the solenoid valve. That is telling you if the HWH system is energizing the solenoid and trying to open it.

I would find the air line connection between the bag and the travel solenoid. Disconnect it, and inflate the bag with a stand alone compressor. That will tell you if you have an air bag problem or a system problem.

It's hard to tell in the picture of the orientation but is it possible that the arm on the ride height valve could have cammed over when the coach was raised to install the new tires. I've seen these cam over when overly extended such as raising a coach up and not supporting the axles properly.
