Question 2003 Dolphin Power Gear Jacks

I retracted my jacks normally but the "Jacks Down Light & Buzzer" continued to operate even though visually I confirmed the jacks had in fact retracted. The audio/light continues when unit is started. I finally pulled the wire harness to cancel the sound & light. Prior to pulling the harness the On/Off button showed green but no reaction from the jacks when "down" button pushed. Unit operates from an electronic multi button panel. Thoughts??? Thank you

I've seen quite a few threads on this and other RV forums about the problem you describe with Power Gear leveling systems and although it could be several things, the most common seems to be that the reservoir is just a little low on fluid. It seems that it's a very sensitive level point that triggers the jacks down light and buzzer to go off when the jacks are actually retracted.

I'd probably start there and make sure the reservoir is topped off with the correct fluid and if that doesn't solve it, then go down the list of other possible causes.

Verify the fluid level is FULL to the top in your reservoir level is full.

They use a float level switch in the tank to indicate the jacks are retracted. If the level is low, it thinks the jacks are not retracted..
