2003 Southwind Water Valve Positions

Hey guys. Newbie here. I have a new to me 2003 Southwind 36' and have a water valve question. The red and blue valves that are below the water heater bypass valve, what are they for and what is their normal operating position? Many thanks in advance.

Al picture would help, but if I am remembering the picture in my brain correctly, they might be the low point drains. My 03 (37U) had a set in the water compartment and another on the other side of the coach.

For as long as I have owned my rig, the red valve is in the ON position and the blue is in the OFF position. All this, assuming the handle is parallel with it's respective pipe when in the ON position. Like yourself, I have no idea of their function after 17 years of ownership.

Totally understand. I tried from my photobucket account but it didn't work. Anyway, I traced the lines and it looks like they're just drain valves. Thanks for the info!

From what I understand.. and I have 2000.. storm.. there are 2 valves.. by the bottom of the water heater.. they are low point drains.. to double check me.. go to your wet bay.. open.. look to far left.. on the wall.. down low.. I have 2 there as well.. these are for my shower and bathroom sink..
To find these low point drains.. use all safety precautions.. get under each bay.. and look for pipes pointing down.. above these pipes .. you will find these low point drains.. your coach may have even more..
My understanding.. is.. if you get caught in cold weather.. you can drain the water out of coach.. like emergency winterize.. one would open the valves and the faucets to them and drain the water out.. or maybe for emergency repairs..
The problem I found.. is they hold water.. when I try to winterize.. so I turn each one on.. one at a time. Drain little bit of water and stop.. a little after it turns pink with antifreeze..
That way.. I can see each valve does not have water in them..
I also use air to winterize and I open each low point drain.. to blow out any water that sits in them..
So repairs or winterize.. I guess both..
Good luck and let us know what you did and maybe better members then me will help you.. oh just remembered.. I have one at the fresh water tank.. the same thing.. I can drain the water pump from there.. I also have a 1 1/4 inch dump valve for big fresh water tank..
I certainly would use only if emergency winterize but not depend on it alone.. use rv antifreeze and make sure you run antifreeze through them..
