2004 23' Jamboree, Roof mounting questions

I am helping my father install a LP King Dome in motion satellite system. I have done 2 on my own rigs, but he just showed up on vacation with his, and he is missing the mounting bolts to attach the unit's leg plates to his RV's roof.

I seem to remember that my units came with the fasteners, but after looking online, the instructions with the newer units now state:

"Note: The installer is responsible for determining the most appropriate fastener to secure the dome to the roof. Depending on the roof material, fasteners such as lag screws, well nuts, sheet metal screws, toggle bolts and T anchors may be used, and should always be used in combination with a roof compatible sealant.
IMPORTANT! The installer is responsible for weatherproofing all holes with sealant."

I have multiple types of sealant, as well as a camping world down the street if my sealant made for white rubber roof's isn't the correct type. Anyways, from past experience, its NOT a heavy device, and basically the 12 (4 screws per leg) are really used to create a good solid fit while the sealant cures, or at least that's how the older units were assembled. I plan on using that method, and completely covering the underside of the leg plates and using the fastener's to hold it down while the sealant cures.

Anyways, if someone wants to help and make a suggestion on what type of fasteners to use, please do. I seem to remember that I used a self tapping, sheet metal style stainless steel fastener. Something less that a inch deep, and a good sized 1/4" thick or slightly less in the thread sizes.

I have a lowes and a home depot, as well as a dixie line all in my imediate area.

Hoping to start this tomorrow, so any responses would be great. Thanks again.

John, you forgot to mention the material of the roof and what the under lying structure is below the skin. We will need this info to provide the best fastener to use.
