If your experience is to be what mine was, my suggestion would be "don't"
Others would disagree!

I had a 2008 Tourmaster. I had many of the same problems that others with many different brands also have. It also had a bit of the factory warranty still available to me. I took all the steps required by the factory in getting that in my name. I did not matter, I received absolutly no support. I also never got a response from phone calls, nor did the RV Dealer when they attempted to. Finding info about what was installed on the coach become a lot of legwork on my part. Silly little things that should be a simple fix became quite difficult when I could not find replacement parts. Trying to get a wiring diagram was nearly impossible. The Tourmaster was a model that offered many things that high end coaches do. The problem became, how well they were installed and the quality of work that was there when it left the factory. Things like the basement doors could be used as an example. The doors were made of Aluminum. They were painted beautifuly. They had very little interior framework to make them a solid door. they were basically a sheet of Aluminum that would easily bend if you did not close gently!
Your experience may be different. I am not willing to give it another try!

JR
We own a 2003 Friendship on a Freightliner chassis with the ISL400.
We have been coast to coast since December. Have experienced zero problems with the unit. We were in a 5 1/2" rain one night in Biloxi, Ms, zero rain problems anywhere.
We owned Dutch Star 2001 gasser prior to the Gulfstream. I think the cabinets to be better construction in the DS. The plumbing and electrical have given us zero problems in the GS.
I will say we were never able to get a wiring diagram from GS. I did a dumb act with one of the bedroom slides one time, and could not receive the diagram.
The construction is as good as any other on the road I think. They have all had problems with something. I still am parcel to the Newmar products, but love my Friendship also! The GS is not the price also of the Newmar products.

Have a GS Crescendo 2004 for over 2 years and at least 30,000 miles. Not the top of the line build, but I am happy with it. Haven't had any problems when I email GS with questions!

jrweld there are many more reviews in out Gulf Stream Owners Forum that you can check out in a forum a little further down the list. I will say that our has been good to us. We lived in it for over seven years and did some traveling without any problems also.
