2004 Pace Arrow 36B Residential Refrigerator

My Dometic ndr1292 is tits up. So I am thinking of replacing it with an all AC power residential model. Any suggestions and does external temps (I'm in Texas) adversely effect operation. I am relying on your experience.

Many threads here about residential fridges. Do a search at the top of this page.

Hot weather in TX doesn’t effect my RF, mainly cause we are running 2 A/C units all the time, even when driving (gen on). U will need at least 4, 6 volt Lead acid or 4, 12v lithium batteries. Need at least 2kw inverter. We can run our RF over night on batteries only, 4, 6v lead, & probably longer, but haven’t tried.

Refer to JC Refrigeration in Indiana for options for upgrading your existing fridge. I made a conversion this year with outstanding results using their 120 v HVAC unit. Installation as straight forward with no cabinet modifications. Can operate on shore power, gen set or inverter when needed. It will operate for 5 days on inverter power only using 2500w inverter and a 4 battery bank. Maintains 33 degrees in fridge and -2 degrees in freezer in our Florida heat.
