2004 Sightseer Slide Problem

When I extend the bedroom slide on our Winnebago I hold the button down until it stops on it's own. It works just fine, but seems to go just a little to far on the rearward side of the slide. As you can see in the photos it butts up against the stub wall with enough force to crack the seam between the stub wall and rear wall of the coach. Checked the manuals and can find no adjustment to solve this issue, not sure what to do here. Any suggestions??

Is there a brand name by chance on the slideout controller?

Yes Sir, says Kwikee I think... didn't have my glasses.

I looked under the bed. Mechanics looks like a big screw with a motor on the end of it, but what do I know.... Didn't see anything that stood out as a way to make an adjustment.

Power Gear bought Kwikee. Then Lippert bought Power Gear.

Power gear under my coach. I learned real quick that Powergear will NOT assist end users like HWH support.
Power gear electric jacks and both full and headboard slide as well.
I have replaced a gear on one of 3 rails on my full slide. It has programmed stop points.
The headboard slide has NO stop points. Slide motor is not powerful enough to damage anything if you hold the button in.
The full slide, that's a different story. High torque electric motors (three of them) thus the reason for stop points. Will strip gears if forced past stop points.
Done lots of work on PG slides. Just be careful, can do lots of damage if you don't understand how it all works.

Power Gear has been very helpful to me and a lot of others here. I don't know how you tried to get assistance from them. They don't take phone calls however will respond to emails very quickly and will call you if need be to explain difficult fixes.

I started asking questions about the full wall slide and was told to contact a distributer. I'll have to try email next time. Also, can you only order/purchase the rubber boot that goes over the motor brake or do you have to purchase a new motor to get a boot. One post I saw OP was informed via email he had to purhase a new motor.

Thanks for the reply Cliff

Their email address is info@powergearus.com .
FW has parts. You can ask them. I bought new brakes for the jacks and they came with a new boot.
