2005 Fleetwood Excursion key question

Hi guys,

I bought a 2005 Fleetwood Excursion 39L a few months ago. The starting batteries have been getting drained somehow and I can't figure it out. There are four positions on the ignition key. All the way to the left, one click to the right, two clicks to the right where all the dash lights and gauges come one, then all the way the right engages the starter. The key can be removed in the all the way left and first click to the right positions. I've been leaving it in the far left position when it's off and I'm thinking that is some sort of ACC position because the stairs won't stay out and the awnings won't come out in that position. In the first click to the right position the stairs stay down when the engine is off and the awnings work. I put it in that position when I parked it last night and I'll check the batteries tonight. I just don't want to burn anything up by leaving the key in the wrong position. There's nothing in the manual about it at all. If anyone has a similar coach, what position is OFF on the key?

thanks,
~john

It position is ACC. 2nd position is off & for key removal. 3rd position is run position. 4th position is for Start. That's how my '04 is.

Thanks for the responses guys. I confirmed that with the original owner today also. This is good news. I've been leaving it in ACC since I bought it a month and a half ago! I just hope I didn't kill the batteries.
