2005 Holiday Rambler Ambassador - Load Meter

Hi All! Need some troubleshooting help. I have a 2005 Holiday Rambler Ambassador with a 50AMP AC SMART EMS LOAD METER by the main panel.
The lights on the panel stopped working. I have troubleshooted the following:

1) Have tried on generator - doesn't work
2) Have tried on SHORE power - doesn't work
3) Have gone through the main fuse box and no fuse is burnt

EVERYTHING else on the coach works, TV, fridge, slides, full power etc.
It is currently plugged into 30AMP shore to my house.
This coach has a basic CONVERTER that the previous owner had installed (no Inverter - I am upgrading to an inverter soon). I have unplugged and re-plugged in the converter, still no luck.

It was working before, but just suddenly stopped working yesterday (no light on the meter). Is there any kind of fuse anywhere or reset switch that anyone knows about?

I have attached a picture of the meter.

Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you!!

Make sure all the breakers are on. Same thing happened to me and one of the breakers was off.

Wish it was that simple! Checked all the breaker switches 2 x. Thanks for the response though.

Does cycling the salesman switch do anything? Have you done any recent work in the battery bay or up front electrical bay?

I did replace one of the drive batteries last week, but the light worked fine up until yesterday. I have t tried toggling the battery cut off switch. Will try and respond back. Thanks.

It has a 12 volt circuit powering it with a suggested 3 amp fuse.

It could be an inline fuse almost anywhere, although it should be near a 12 volt source.

reset

So I had the same issue, different board but same issue. after checking all breakers fuses etc, I contacted a company to replace my board. the guy suggested I do a reset. (In the middle of the desert)

I turned off all power, batt switches and unplugged coach from the portable Genny. I removed all power connections to the inverter. let it set for 15-minutes. re-connected the power connections and it solved the problem.

Just an idea, hope it helps.

Do any of the appliances that the EMS controls work? Does each of the AC units work??

When my EMS when completely dark I tried everything including the reset but the problem ultimately was the EMS board. Prior to that we had a lightening strike hit the house, lost a TV in the house. Later when getting ready to leave on a trip found the problem with the EMS.

Contacted M&M Electronics https://www.mmrvelectronics.com/ They walked me through a troubleshooting including a reset (which I had already done). Ended up having to replace the EMS board and load meter. Mine was an obsolete version and I had to upgrade to a Model 760. Cost was ~$450 in 2014. I did the swap myself.

It certainly does. Mine is of similar vintage to the OP. I was in it tonight and I'm plugged into a 110V. My OEM load meter will only work so long as I don't press the salesman switch to turn off 12 volts. If I press it to turn off 12 volts, the meter turns off.

My 2005 Monaco Knight is a fraternal twin of the 2005 HR Ambassador. I had the same problem which corrected itself after I turned off 50 amp power at the pedestal and turned off the battery disconnect switches for the house batteries in the battery compartment. After a few minutes I turned everything back on and the panel was working again.

Thank you for all the replies everyone. I ended up unscrewing the control panel and unplugged the Load Meter. I plugged it back in after a few minutes and it seems to have reset it self. Note: There is no fuse behind the control panel...only wiring.

I did try cycling the salesman switch and turned all power off - but had no luck doing that.

Thanks again!

If you didn't disconnect the batteries at the batteries you didn't do enough. Just cycling the "salesman's switch"( sorry twinboat, I know it bugs you but it is easier to say) won't do the job.
