2005 Itasca W22 Bedroom slideout cylinder leak

Does anyone have instructions on removing the hydraulic HWH slideout cylinder under the bedroom in my W22, 2005 Suncruiser 35GU? Do I remove the bed and platform, remove bottom plates under the slideout, etc? The cylinder suddenly starting leaking hydraulic oil over the weekend. Not a small leak either. My drawings are showing only 1 cylinder but my drawings may be incorrect. A list of parts yall recommend replacing when accessing and removing the cylinder? Depending how difficult I may have to send to a shop.

Are you certain it’s the cylinder and not a hose?

Our ‘02 coach new to us in ‘21 blew a hose on our first outing - serious leakage to say the least. Ours is a BigFoot system though and the cylinders bolt onto the chassis via wing flanges welded to the cylinders.

Bought and replaced both hoses for that cylinder for $68.00 made from scratch at a local hydraulic hose shop (as opposed to cost from BigFoot which at the end of the day with shipping cost included would have been twice as much and I would have had to wait 4 days to receive).
My trip to the hydraulic shop - from the time I left the house, had hoses made, and back to the house - about 2 hours.

Thank you. I can't determine if a hose or cylinder is the problem until I figure out how to access the cylinder. It's located out of sight. I can see oil Dripping off the ram stem or shaft.

I think I would give Winnebago a call to see if they could shed light on how to access. I hear they are good at answering questions.

Their website is pretty good too with a lot of exploded views and diagrams (as is HWH’s when you dig around). You may not find explicit instructions for access and removal of the cylinder, but you should be able to get an idea if access is from the top or bottom.

My bet, albeit a totally uneducated bet, is access from the top.

Start by taking out the false floor under the bed. That will give you access to almost all of the hydraulic slide mechanism parts.

Thank you. I am able to access what appears to be a guide mechanism or chamber under the false floor but I'm a bit apprehensive to begin removing bolts. The ram is not obvious from this view. Im waiting on a return call from HWH and I'm sure they will provide directions and information.

HWH supplies the parts for the slide system, but Winnebago assembles the slide mechanism and hoses on the bare chassis, IMO either the W factory or Lichtsenn Motors is you best bet.
