Angry 2006 Coachmen Cross Country 238DS

Today I bit the bullet and decided to tear out the flooring in our MH. It had carpet in the living area and rear bedroom and linoleum tile in the kitchen area hall and bathroom.

During tear out I noticed that the linoleum tile was glued to a piece of luan plywood 1/8" thick. The carpet had a sponge underlayment. Under this luan board was another layer of sheet linoleum. Has anyone ever run into this problem and what have you done to get around the difference in height of the floor? I'm going to lay vinyl planks as the new floor throughout.
Don't even want to approach the slide yet?
Any words of wisdom or advice is surely appreciated.
Thanks

Add additional subfloor to the low area to bring it up to matching height.

Just be carefull with raising the area where the slide comes in because it slides over the carpet where it is lower.

2006 Coachman CC Flooring Problems

I have attached photo's as requested.
Photo 1 is the luan that is above the luan wood. I am standing at the slide area so this is raised higher than the where the carpet was installed.
Photo 2 is taken from the bedroom where the carpet was installed and the luan is above that.
Photo 4 is standing in the kitchen area and the luan runs to where the dark color is at the top of the picture. (carpet area)
Photo 5 is a piece of 1/8" plywood on top of the sub floor at the entry way.
Do not know what purpose these raised areas are but I could not tell they were there with the carpet and linoleum install.
Any suggestions on how to handle the vinyl planks?

I do not like the collor of that wood on this picture.
This is the picture of the wood under the carpet of my 2005 Terra that I did the floors 3 years ago.
I would replace this wood before installing anything over it. But that is only my oppinion.Click image for larger version

Raised flooring

Thanks Cacique. The dark wood in the picture is the “Luan” plywood. It is not rotten or weak. I am hesitant to take it out as I think it adds to the sound proofing. That’s about the only reason I can think of why it is there in the first place.
Any thoughts.

Well on the 2005 Terra the slide runs paralel to the floor and did not show any sign of scrape or scratch for the time i was the owner over a year. Now on the 2009 Pace Arrow the slide is flush I will have to see how that will hold when I do that one.
