2006 National Sea Breeze
Hi. New to the motorhome world and have a few questions. I bought a 2006 National Sea Breeze with the Ford Triton V-10. When i need to buy parts for this coach like a serpentine belt, radiator hoses, brakes other such maintenance parts I will need to know what chassis it has. Does anyone know if they were put on the F450 or F550 chassis? Any comments would be welcome. Thx. Chuck

The answer would come from decoding your chassis serial number, and I'm sorry I can't help with that, . A Ford dealer would be able to give you the break down , if someone from the Ford Chassis owners Club section of the forums, doesn't see your post , and respond.

Chassis is a F53, possibly a 2005

It's a F53 Ford chassis and you definitely need belts, hoses, etc. specifically for that. Rarely would a similar part for a pick-up or F450/F550 work, even though it may have the same engine. Alternators, a/c, radiator, etc. will be different, or at least mounted differently, making for numerous small but important differences.
Brakes, axles, fuel system, etc. are also different.

Yup I have a 2007 Sea Breeze the chassis is a 2006 F-53.

It may be a 2005 F-53 if your coach is a 2006. I believe 2005 was the first year of the torqueshift transmission.

I don't think it is stamped anywhere on it, but IT IS the F53.

Don't know where it's stamped on the frame. On my 99 it is on a sticker left of entry door on the outside. It is also on the weight sticker in the overhead cabinet above the driver and in one of the closets. The one in the closet lists the VIN and model of the coach and manufacturer's name and model number of items used in the coach.

Forgot to mention, my chassis has the Ford ID tag on the bulkhead below the brake master cylinder. It is down low, to see mine I look through the grill and look slightly to the my right.

Hi people, I have a few more maintenance questions. Want to always travel with spare fliuds and need to know what weight differential fluid it takes. Type of trans fluid, power steering fluid and engine oil I would think are standard ford v-10 items. Any help is appreciated. Cheers. Chuck

I normally carry a quart of engine and generator oil and a gallon of coolant. Ford recommends semi-synthetic engine oil, I use full synthetic in everything.

I use motorcraft fluids Motorcraft Gold is the coolant, Motorcraft Semi Synthetic oil, not sure for the rear end or transmission but I don't think you can go wrong with the recommended motorcraft fluids.
