The fit and finish of ours is great and, so is the same on many, many of my friends Journeys and Meridians. Chris is the resident expert on Vectras and can clue you in on particulars of that model. Ours has the CAT C-7 and rear radiator. That one sports the Cummins and a side radiator. The Cummins of that era usually tout a tad more torque for an almost same sized engine as the CAT.
As for the side basement A/C, those are great units. Yes, as with any component on an RV, they will have their issues every now and then. Ours is 14 years old and still cooling and heating great. I've replaced the infamous fan bushing, with a permanent sealed bearing, way quieter. You should also have the Allison MH3000 6-speed trans, a great trans. And, not guaranteed but, more than likely an HWH slide and Jack system. Probably the HWH 625 Computer Controlled Automatic Leveling system.
Since it's an '06, I'd definitely get up on the roof and, really inspect the roof-to-gutter joint, on both sides, all the way from the front to the back. The sealant/adhesive is pretty much what holds that fiberglass roof on. If you spot any breaks in that sealant/adhesive and the roof pushes away from it freely, get to work as soon as possible and follow all correct procedures for replacing that sealant/adhesive. And DON'T USE ETERNABOND TAPE as the fastener, it's not designed for that.
There is a specific brand/type of adhesive/sealant to be used in that situation.
Anyway, good luck on your venture. It's a great coach.
