Angry 2008 Damon Outlaw

my rig has a Kwikee power RV step and has been intermittent. now they are disfunctional. i have heard rumors that placing carpet wraps on these can deter their ability to function properly. is this correct?

I also have a 2008 Outlaw. After functioning perfectly for 6 years of my ownership, last summer the Kwikee steps stopped extending. I had a mobile rv tech who has seen a lot of these tell me the motor needed to be replaced. He did that and now its all good again. I have never used the carpet wraps.

Make sure to keep the pivot points and slides lubricated.

I use the poly wraps on my Kwikee stairs without issue. Keeping the pivots properly lubed is the key.
