2008 Latitude

Hi,
I have a 2008 Itasca latitude 39' motor home. I have had so many problems and such poor customer service that I will never buy another Winnebago product!

That said, the current problem is cracking and popping noises in the large flat area to the rear of the left hand slide out. It sounds like the fiberglass is coming unglued. It starts in the morning as soon as the sun hits it and again as it cools in the afternoon. Also the shower enclosure and the bath floor and creaking and groaning.
Is anybody else having these problems?
Does anybody know how to get past the RUDE person at the 800 number?
Does anybody know how to contact Winnebago service people directly?
Thanks in advance.

im not saying your problems are not real but when i had a business and unhappy customers started off with "i will never buy your product again" my motovation to help them was greatly diminished.i truley believe i never had a disatissfied customer only former clients
start with the lowest person on the customer service staff and work your way up,if you engage each one like they are the one that can satisfy you they will work hard for you.
good luck with your coach and when is repaired have many happy years of motor coaching
brianj

and ps welcome

My 2008 Winnebago Destination 39W is the Winnebago alter ego of your Itasca Latitude. Mine as been great. I don't have your problems. Had a slideout lock water leak I fixed and a few other small things none of yours however. I agree with tncruiser's comments and wish you the best.

I have a Destination 39W/mate to yours and would suggest you check the main TV to see if it has tilted or dropped on the wall side. You may be experiencing expansion and contraction noises as a result of the problem I found a couple of years ago when I realised that the shelf/counter top that the TV sits on is not fastened to the exterior wall, just behind the left sildeout. The original TV weighs 117 lbs! You can check by opening the drop down cabinet door below the TV and looking up at the bottom of the TV shelf. If you do a search on the Winnebago site here, you can find my suggestions to fix this.
As far as contacting the customer assitance people at Winnebago, I have had great help from Rod. Try asking for him. He is knowledgeable and efficient.

I believe the "cracking and popping" noise you hear is expansion as the coach heats up or cools. Mine has popped a bit for the three years I have owned it when conditions are right (cool night followed by warm, direct sun) and I have had zero problems with any fiberglass failure or issue. The popping only happens a couple times and does not seem to be a concern.

I can also report that I have called the 1-800 # for technical service a couple times and have always had courteous, effective assistance. Indeed, I have been delighted with my Winnebago dealer and factory support.

Sorry you have had a problem and I wish you the best in getting resolutions.

We have owned 7 motorhomes 4 were the other brand 3 have been winnebagos . They all have there problems;; Winnebago allways corrected the problems; you had a diffeculte time finding a shop to work on there Unit;; It's hard to accept that there may be problems. But there are well over 1000 employees that have worked on your coach; If only 1% make an error which is low; And quality control misses 1% it's an oops; And not Really a reason to get upset; I ask.. Why can't all people be like me and make no mistakes ??? I thought I made one once.. But I was wrong;;
