2008 Monaco Signature Smart Wheel lights

We are new owners and for some reason when everything is off at night my smart Wheel lights stay on

We are talking about the backlighting of the switches on the wheel, right? Not the lights controlled by the smart wheel.

I think your Smart Wheel is a product of Vehicle Improvement Products. If so, there are 4 wires that come up through the wheel hub, two for the backlighting and two for the switching signals, plus a controller that handles the lighting and switching in response to the wheel buttons. Seems like the controller is keeping the backlights on. You might try their Tech Support to see what could cause that.
