2008 Newmar Canyon Star

I need electrical help with a 2008 Newmar Cayon Star. My side and roof clearance lights are not working. I have checked all the fuses and have power all the way to the upper part of the steering column and then I lose the wire. The interesting thing is the front left and right side markers are not getting power. If I put 12 volts to one side of one of the lights the other side will light up. The mid and rear and upper rear lights do not show a ground or +12 volts. If I back feed 12 volts and ground thru one of the lights all the rear marker lights will come on. I have not checked out the upper front lights. It sure would be nice to have some wiring information. I talked to the old owners and they cannot tell me for sure that they ever worked.

Hi Chuck

Glad to have you here with us. A broken ground would be my first guess. Can you get a jumper from ground to the lights? I'm sure others may have more ideas.

Good luck and Happy Trails!!!

Welcome to irv2.
In this link it has 12v wiring and fusing for gas & DP coach's plus other things.
Wiring will multiple between lights and if any got corroded connections they will have to be address also.
If you find fuses blown check the 7 pin plug near your back bumper may have loose wires in it shorting the fuses.
In my signature below are other links for your Newmar.

Just because it says 2006-2007 it will cover your later coach's until Newmar updates to the 2013 year, Newmar does not cover every year because they do not make that many changes from year to year.
