2009 monaco knight roof covering

I have a 2009 Knight bought new in 2010. It was never owned or registered in anyone's name. We just discovered that it has a membrane on the roof whereas it is supposed to be a complete fiberglass roof. Does anyone else have a membrane roof or was the coach altered before we took ownership and we were not informed?

Our 08 Knight has a 1 piece fiberglass roof.

Wasn't Monaco out of business in 09?

Our 2009 Monaco Diplomat 41SKQ, purchased new in Feb. 2010 has a fiberglass roof.

According to this brochure: http://www.monacocoach.com/StaticFil...9/09Knight.pdf , yours should be fiberglass, too!

Take care,
Stu

Never seen a late model Monaco D/P that did not have a fiberglass roof.

This would be worth a call to Monaco... They should be able to answer the question. Also ask for a "build sheet" to be emailed (for your records).

I can't imagine anybody retrofitting the roof on a new coach, so odds are it came that way. Maybe it was one of the last ones produced before the Monaco bankruptcy and they didn't have fiberglass for the roof. If it's TPO membrane, I wouldn't worry about it. If it's EPDM, I I would be disappointed, but I suspect the dealer may not have known either.

Monaco used to install EPDM rubber roofs on their coaches in the 90's. I think they switched to fiberglass in the late 90's.
Have you climbed up there yourself? For the uninitiated, it may be hard to tell the difference as both EPDM and the fiberglass are white.
