2011 Monaco Knight - Sudden loss of power

Wanted to relate an unusual situation to help other who may face circumstances.

Was travelling a 70 mph driving 2011 Monaco Knight with Maxforce 10 engine when the engine suddenly lost power. The alternator malfunction light immediately lit up. We pulled over, suspecting an alternator problem but batteries were not dead.

Alternator was changed out on the side of the road...still would not start. Towed to International service dealer. It was discovered that the Injector Pressure Relay electrical harness had shorted out causing the lost of power and failure to start. This is information is not in the no-start flow chart in the manual.

Additionally, the Alternator Malfunction Light and the associated audio alarm were not cleared by the IPR harness repair.
I suspect the AML relay, located in the driver's side front basement compartment, was burnt out by a power spike.

For me, this was a far better outcome than having to have the valve cover removed or having to purchase a new ECM computer. Prior to the above harness repair there was no power showing on the ECM relays. Who would have thought of this circumstance? If you did, I wish you had been on the road with me.
