Smile 2013 Winnebago Vista 35 f good quality ?

I have posted before asking about quality of an rv I have heard a lot of good about Winnebago in the past . what is the consensus about the vista line it appears entry to middle range ? I do like the features the mileage is 11000. anything I should look for ?. I have owned my 2005 Safari Simba for 12 years and it has had only minor issues the quality is better than most I have looked at ,but my wife is having problems with the space to get into and out of the bed and shower ,knee replacement and health issues . I would appreciate any info or experiences .

Be sure to look at the electrical wiring in the, I think it is, the front driver side compartment. I had an issue with the water filling the first few inches in the bottom of the compartment. It cause a major electrical problem that I could never get repaired correctly. Good Luck!

Be sure to have the slides looked at. There was a lot of problems with the gears and tracks prior to 2016.

Ditto on checking the slide out mechanism. Since you are looking at a 2013, I'd suggest that you also look at Newmar or Tiffin gas motorhomes. You have a lot of options, so look carefully and compare features and quality.

What did the slide mechanism look like? What it toothed bars or was it a flat bar with slots in it? The newer mechanism has the toothed bars. Our dealership told us that when they get an RV in with the old style mechanism that is having problems they just replace it with the new on rather than fix the old one. Yours may have been replaced.

Hi and thank you . it is the bar with lines I could not find any place where there are signs of damage to it . the slide functions smoothly the only sound is the motor running . the owner says he services it every year . showed me a receipt for last years bumper to bumper .

I bought a 35B last Aug, replaced a 08 Sunova. So far I’m happy with the build quality, although aside from the 850 mile solo drive home when I bought it we only got out 4 times before the weather said it was time to put her away for the winter or risk frozen pet lines!

Check the underneath thoroughly for rust, the chassis is solid but the add ons from Winnie can take a beating and rust fast.

Love the layout except for the window in the bedroom. They fixed that in 2015. Check the tires, they should have been replaced by now, if not, no matter how they look they need replacing. They are greater than 7 years old.

I do not particularly like the window position either . but the rest of the layout is exactly what we wanted . compared to some 34 and 35 footers they squeezed a lot into it .

Factory service is a distinct advantage to Winnebago. They have all the experts, knowledge of the idiosyncrasies, and the spare parts. Plus, when you make an appointment that's when they start work, you don't just drop the coach off. Not all mfr's offer this service.
p.s. ditto (again) on the slide mechanism
