On our second new (Damon then Thor) coach. I think a number of problems reported are caused by dealer and to a lesser extent during transport. Often a problem looks like mfg. but really caused outside of the factory but the mfg. gets blame. Our local dealer admitted to robing parts from new inventory just to make a customer happy. Translation - get coach delivered and into warranty pool. I doubt the Thor final check list would allow a product to leave without the itemized list of items and serial numbers. Ours was missing and so far dealer has refused to supply it, Why - I think they swapped stuff from ours to make another sale. I have pretty much looked into every nook and enclosed space and have found only a few "mfg" items. Air gap floor to wall in cabinet, 1/2" by 4" void in fire wall, fireplace plugged into inverter instead of dedicated circuit, poor duct installation in heater compartment, numerous staples not fully seated and one drawer rail mount sloppy and loose. In all I think Thor did a good job-
Dealer caused hard to prove but I am pretty sure: Main slide not fully/properly opening, slide trim loose and looks like crap in some places, grease on both ends of slide, both light fixtures in slide wired to one switch, dented microwave/convection, evidence that that wrong product or improperly applied causing rubber seals to basically melt and stick to compartment doors, leaking water pump, missing DVD controller, missing one bottle of touch-up paint and frig enclosure trim damaged.
Choose the dealer with the same care you use in selecting the RV.
