2015 Jayco Precept 31UL electrical outlet

On my MH I noticed an outlet next to were the power cord come out of the top of the electrical bay. Is this on all Precepts and if so what is it for or what do you use it for? Seems like an odd place for an outlet.

The AC outlet located within the cable bay provides 120 VAC power outside the coach for any purpose that you wish. e.g., electric fan, drill, air compressor, margarita blender, etc. Enjoy.

Does that outlet look like your power cord end? Have you run your RV on the generator? I suspect that your power cord will plug into that outlet and when you start your generator your entire coach will be powered.

If not, it's a strange place to have a regular outlet.

No its a standard 110v 15amp outlet. My cord is a 50amp plug.

If you have a diesel its for your block heater, if not you have a spare outlet.

Your owners manual should be answering some of these questions.

Thanks! Another idea is for a heater/light in the water bay area.
