I've heard that you can get around 28-30% off brand new, that would be like $128,000. Depending on how perfect the condition is etc. I'd think you should be able to do better than that . . .

I heard on gas coaches there is only like 20 % discount of list due to lower markups, new 2018 list for around $ 189,000 so not sure ?

Figuring 182K less 25% on initial sale, less 10% depreciation for the first year, less additional 10% for the second year (2018 models are already out now) gives a price of roughly $111K. That's where I would look at it for purchase price on this used unit. Of course the dealer might have other thoughts, but I certainly would not want to pay anywhere near $135K on a gas unit. Just my $.02

X2 The dealer's pricing is very good, for the dealer, not for the buyer!!
That coach should sell for around $120,000 retail. Offer $ 117,500 and go up to $ 119,500 and be prepared to walk away if they won't negotiate.

So I went to Nada Price chart on line and entered 2016 Newmar Canyon Star 3710
Entered the options that are on the coach and the price changed
Low Retail is now $ 151,073
Average is $ 183,220
What to offer ? To be fair price ?

Just a casual perusal of available Newmar RVs (both new and used) makes me wonder why anyone would pay $135k, or anywhere even close to that when you can probably purchase a new 2018 for probably not much more that that - this is assuming a 25% reduction from MSRP, and the 2016 posted above I'd just take a stab that you could do significantly better than that off of the MSRP. I'm not factoring the options you mentioned, and I'm not sure that you can add dollar for dollar what the options were originally worth. I just think it's not financially sound to pay for something a few years old that you can buy brand new for the same price. My advice is pay substantially less for the one you're looking at, or buy a new 2016 that is a leftover and most likely get a substantial discount, or get yourself a new 2017/2018. Me personally I'd go for a new 2016 and be very aggressive with my offer, and then you have the warranty that comes with a new RV. Good luck!

When I bought my Bounder in '15 I received (what I considered) a good price with over 30% off MSRP.
I went shopping last year and was very aggressive in trying to get this exact model at the best price.
Newmar would not even come close. I was able to negotiate 25% off without a trade. It was just not a number I could swallow so I walked away. They kept calling be for months and I went back once but the number did not change. I said when the number comes down call me and until then do not contact me.
I did not get the Newmar.
So, Newmar will be tougher on price. If you figure 25% off MSRP and then another 10-15% additional depreciation as it is 2 years old at this point you are in the ball park of a great deal.
But the Newmar is well built. If it is in like new condition you can expect to pay more.
The only reason I wanted to trade up was for the quietness of the AC. Other than that I do like my Bounder. And for the 30-40k more the Canyon Star would cost me I can live with it.
