2019 HR Vacationer VIN#

Hi gang. I am in the process of replacing my front grille on my 2009 HR Admiral. I emailed REV Group and they need the VIN. Seems that's the only way they can bring up an item, seems strange somewhat to me.
It looks like the Vacationer is the same as mine. I will attach a pic for you to compare. After receiving the email with that reply, I called them this morning and talked to a different person other than the one who emailed me back. He did some searching and said he would email me with specifics and a picture of it. Great, I appreciate that. BUT, just in case, would you want to give me the VIN on your 2019, possible similar years, HR Vacationer. I sure would appreciate you for that.
Thank you very much. Your THE BEST.

Why not just give them your VIN? Or are they saying they don't have the 2009 part and don't want to sell you a 2019 part that may or may not fit?

Given the number of body design changes since 2009, it seems to me the odds of a 2019 grill fitting your 2009 is really slim. I'll grant that the look is very similar, though.

As for why the VIN (or UIN), it is used to identify the detailed build information for each coach. Grills probably don't vary much, but hundreds of other components are either optional or have multiple versions that get substituted depending on availability or the pcoach configuration. Identifying the specific items used in each coach is standard procedure.

Thank you for replying Gary. Yep, I gave them my VIN. But after REreading the email, they want the VIN of the newer model. I don't know how I would do that unless I ask for a volunteer, wink. It's just another option in case it helps them find the part. But, like I said, another REV parts person said he found a 2019 grille and he would email me the picture and the specs etc. I don't see it yet in my email. He said he would send it either last night or this morning. ( I am up real early this morning ). We will see what happens. Thanks again.
P.S. If the newer part fits in the grill area and the holes don't line up, I will just drill new holes in the fiberglass to make it fit. Do you see any problem doing that?, drilling new holes. 2 reasons for replacing. Battery acid marked up part of the grille, and the bolt and nut connection on drivers side broke. Cheap stuff. I could probably fix that part but NOT the acid marks on the chrome grill.
