2021 Newmar Bay Star 3014 And Gray Tank Lift Pump
I don't remember reading or anyone mentioning to us about our 3014 having some type of a lift pump in our 2021 coach. Another owner mentioned that they had a belching type sound coming from their kitchen sink and that they see what looks like a Grey tank lift pump in the sewage compartment.

Newmar offers, as an option, the SaniCon sewer tank macerator. It does look like a pump and mounts in the wet bay.

From what I understand is this Grey Take lift pump is supposed to pump the kitchen sink water to the Grey tank. If it does have one would have been nice to know it did and where it is located especially if it quit or starts leaking which I'm guessing it will at some point.

Call Newmar customer service. Using your VIN #, they can tell exactly what is on your coach and help you out.

Newmar only offers the Sanicon on certain models. We tried real hard to get one installed on our Ventana order but it was denied. Doubtful they would install one on a Baystar, but things change year to year as models change.
One other item we tried real hard for was heated floors, which was also denied. Now it's an option on the 22 Ventana's.

Here’s my guess. Some 5th wheels need this because of the spread out plumbing and tank arrangement, so maybe that’s what you’ve heard about. I haven’t heard of this ever being necessary on a class A and having owned a a Bay Star I can say it wasn’t needed there.

Well at $8000 I’d probably reject it anyway. I thought it was high at $7k - do you think it costs the a thousand dollars more this year to install?

My 2020 BSS has it, and I believe that's the function. You should be able to find the manual/warranty card in that expandable file they give you with all the manuals/warranties. As I recall, it's either under the sink area or in the bay immediately below that -- I know I've seen it at least once, but the coach is in our storage facility right now, so I can't check.

lift pump is for kitchen sink. There is a bucket/sump-pump in the bay under the kitchen sink in my 2016 baystar 3403. It seems to have it's own inverter. There is the main inverter and a separate one labeled "tv and lift pump". Unclear why it needs a separate inverter for that...
I also read in another thread that this sump/lift pump was needed because the kitchen sink is forward of the rear axle and so the water has to get lifted up to flow down to grey water tank behind the axle.
