Had 2 30 Amp 35' Winnies and never had a problem running 2 air conditioners etc. in Fla and out west. Sure, 50 amp is more better but 30 Amp would not be a deal breaker for me.

That's all nice but I believe the 02 Journey of his, if it's like ours, is wired to only operate one compressor on 30 amp. Don't believe it's an option.

Both compressors are located in the Heat Pump/AC. There are not two separate ACs.

First you can get adapters to plug a 50 amp RV into a 30 amp Socket or a 30 amp RV into a 50 amp socket or you can go all the way to 15/20 amps (Socket) and back.

Second. The rules according to Reddy Kilowatt (Power company spokspersion)

50 amps: Usually "All the power you can eat" No lmits Everything in the RV
30 anps. You can not run two air conditioners only one at a time.
Also you may be limited as to water heater and microwave at same time and if the service is anemic may have to force fridge to gas.

THe rule is no more than TWO big ticket items and only one of them an AC, Big ticket are water heater, Microwave and A/C's Converter may or may not be "Big" depending on how big it is and SOC of batteries, my Progressive 9180 with wizard is BIG if batteries are dead, Tiny if full.

ON 20 amps. ONE big ticket item.
On 15 amps ONE Big ticket with the fridge on gas
