I used a heat gun on low along with plastic scrapers to remove mine. Then Xylene, the same scrapers and terry rags to get the adhesive off. Xylene will not harm the paint, but I found it highly desirable to wear a respirator because of the fumes. I find that keeping the front polished and waxed makes cleaning the bugs off easy. I will never ever put Diamond sxxx on any coach I own.

I'm thinking of starting with the door that opens up to the engine.

I called the dealer I bought it from 15 years ago and they quoted me about $4,000 to remove it.

First watch the uglyshieldremoval videos on youtube. He used sand paper from roughly 100 grit to 300 in 3 or four steps. I used the larger chisel pretty much exclusively. You will sharpen it often.
You have to know which type of mask you have. I had the 3M mask. You won't get it off without a heat gun IMO. A couple of times I had the temp right but forgot to turn the heat gun blower to high and I had a really tough time catching the edge of the chisel to start peeling mask off. After using the chisel I switched to plastic razor for the finishing. I used almost a gallon of Orange Sol contractor solvent and chisels from ABN. Oh yeah, I also used a squeegee to get the gooey mess off before I used micro fiber cloths.
Today was Day 3 and I'm finally done.

pretty sure mine is 3M. getting cold here so might be able to put this off until it warms up.

I don't have a heat gun yet so I will use my wife's hair dryer....she'll never know! Thanks for the tips!

No matter how hard you try, that 3M goo will get all over you and her dryer and you'll feel the HEAT!
