5500 watt generator Onan no start

2008 Georgetown 370 , 5500 watt Oman generator won’t start! Start switch inside has a steady blink! Can’t prime or start! Switch on generator outside is on steady! Noticed that the electric fuel pump pulsates every few seconds! Unplugged the wires going to the remote switch inside and same thing! Could I have a bad switch? Any ideas? Forgot to mention I used it a week ago and all worked well! Thanks

Assuming you do not hear the starter engage and the engine turning. Then this is electrical. I am also assuming you know to hold down the switch so it can go through the prime process. Your going to need to find the starter solenoid and see if you get signal voltage when you try to start. You should also have battery voltage on one of the big terminals. If no voltage then start tracing backwards, check fuses. You can also jump start it by connecting the battery voltage to the hot side of the signal terminal of solenoid to make the solenoid activate. And don't forget the solenoid needs ground too on the other signal terminal. There may be a diagnostic chart for your model, you will need the service book to activate and read the codes. Try disconnecting all power to let it reset.

As already stated, there should be codes stored (flashing/blinking light on switch.

Have a look here: https://manuals.heartlandowners.org/...ng%20Codes.pdf
