The Duracell is a solid performer. Maybe not has ruggedly durable as the Trojan, but most RVs will be fine using it.

I abused a pair premium wet cell Duracell GC batteries for 10yrs . Running them too low all the time and charging on 1985 single stage convertor. When I sold TT they still had more capacity than a new group 21 trolling motor batt. I couldn't get the Duracell gray premium batts or AMGs at my local Sam's ,so I got $88 ones. The consensus is that the 105s will give a few more years. The Trojan 105s near me were double the price or more. I have since found cheaper source on Facebook marketplace for them.

Can someone explain the differences between the battery groups?

I see that the SLIGC125 is rated at 235 Amp Hours at a cost of $140. It's a BCI Group GC2. The SLI6V210S is also rated at 235 Amp Hours at a cost of $190. It's a BCI Group 901.

The only difference is that the BCI 901 is slightly larger. But it weighs less?? Then there is the BCI Group 902's. Those are obviously taller and more expensive. But you get 330 Amp Hours for the extra size.

Thanks for the help.

Trojan T-105 are some of the best GC2 batteries made. If you have extra height available, you can increase capacity with T-125 or T-145 batteries.

You can get a better price on Trojan batteries at golf cart stores or even on eBay.
If you want the cheapest GC2 battery, then visit your nearest big box store.

I'm very pleased with our four Duracell GC2 wet cell house batteries.
Going on four years old, capacity seems good as new. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

I see you are a Beaver member. I have a 1997 Monterey it has been stored for a few years in RV park in white mtns az. I am up here to try get motorhome back to Tucson and looks like all the batteries are shot. I have two napa 7236 batteries group 31 and have threaded post. I have 4 6 volt orielly batteries gs100tj same as a gs2 they say 115 min on them. I have had excellent luck with the maxx batteries from walmart got 10 years out of the pair on my dodge cummins. I called the local walmart they havee a group 65 not a group 31 like the napa battery and it has regular post not threaded post. I was thinking of just getting post adapters and buying these as they have 3 year full replacement warranty i called napa they have 18 mo and some only have 12 mo. Plus walmarts are everywhere. Same with the GS2 they are 98.00 oh and so is group 65battery 98.00 . Any advice or thoughts on this ?

Thanks in advance..

How are you going to use it? If you're just moving it to park it somewhere else I'd get the cheapest batteries I could to get it started. If you're going to be moving around in it I'd buy better batteries that would have a longer life.

I bought four $88 each Interstate Costco batteries and they only lasted 7 years! When one started to leak acid around the post I figured I had better buy all four batteries again. So I now had four $90 Costco Interstate batteries. Lets hope these last longer than 7 years!

Can someone explain the differences between the battery groups?
Battery groups refer to physical case size dimensions only. It has nothing to do with CCA, AH, terminal types or anything else, except that you can only squeeze so much into a given size case. Case dimensions are standardized by the BCI ( Battery Council International) so that you can be assured they will physically fit in the available space.

Sometimes a battery maker will only partially fill a larger case size with lead and electrolyte, resulting in a cheaper battery but one that has less capacity, i.e. lower Amp-Hours or lower CCA . Always compare battery specs as well as BCI case size when price-shopping.

The 6c golf car battery (case size GC2) is typically offered in 210 AH and 230 AH capacities. Taller variants like the GC2H may have larger AH ratings.
