88 Bounder Fan Cover On The 6.5 Onan Generator

Have an 88 Bounder and noticed the fan from the generator was loud and visibly blowing a hole in the sand under the RV---Have owned it since 88 and never noticed anything like that before---If anyone reading this has an older Bounder, could you look under yours and see if there is any type of covering over the fan to the generator---I have looked at it and can't find any screw holes or anything that a fan shield might have been attached to.---It seems like there had to have been some sort of shroud/shield/cover as the fan is now exposed and you could actually put your hand into it---Thanks

My 1986 Itasca had the same Generator. There wasn't a cover on the bottom and it put out a lot of air. I just had to live with it.

On my 1997 6.5 Emerald Onan there is a grill work over the fan area. Does nothing for sound but does keep you from sticking your fingers where they do not belong.
