97 fleetwood discovery coach power problems

I bought this RV with no past experience. I am looking for service/ repair manuals to learn how to use the inverters and generator . I have AUX & MAIN batt switches in a cabinet above the passenger windshield. There are inverter switches under the kitchen countertop and on an inverter in the basement storage with the batteries. The batteries are brand new (installed yesterday May 1-2018). The generator runs great. It has 4- 6v batts and 1 12v batt

The batteries are wired correctly for 12v service. Im assuming the single 12v battt is to start the RV engine.
Can any one give me some advice or have a link to a manual? I have the owners manual. Its not the best for the info I need.

Thank you

I am not familiar with your exact setup so if someone else knows please jump in. I think the main and aux switches are probably disconnects for storage of the RV. The inverter switch is just what it says on and off for the inverter. Inverters use power whenever they are on so if you don't need the 120AC while running unplugged from shore power just shut it off. Some (but not all) will bypass when plugged in to shore power.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Congrats on the new rig! It seems that manuals are one of the hardest things to find, especially for older rigs. Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

If you go to the following site, you can download the owners manual for your vehicle.

https://www.fleetwoodrv.com/rv-owners-manuals

I would also suggest you make a list of all your components, i.e. refrigerator, AC units, water heater, generator, furnace, inverter, etc. and download owners manuals for each.
