ABS sensor Light
I have a 2001 Holiday Rambler Ambassador and my ABS light wont go off, Can anyone help me? I heard that if you can locate them, they may have to be cleaned off. Where are they located? What do you suggest.

Very often an ABS warning light is indicative of a worn hub. If there is too much play in the hub, the ABS sensor does not line up with the teeth within the hub thus creating a fault situation. I've had this happen on a GMC truck, a Jeep Grand Cherokee and my Winnebago Tour.
So try the cleaning method first but don't be surprised if you need to replace the hub.

On my 1999 Ford chassis, it was the sender in the rear differential.
Used a good code reader that reads ABS Codes. Sender was $18.00.

I had a 2000 Holiday Rambler Ambassador and my ABS light wouldn't go off. You probably have a Road Master Chassis. I'm really sorry you have this problem. The related problems were the brake calipers getting hot and the locking up. This destroyed the wheel seals and the ABS censors. I called Road master in Oregon. I paid around $800 for new brake pads and Calipers and replaced them myself. That fixed the over heating problem. But I didn't replace the censors, all four were bad. I traded it in and let the dealer know about the censors.
Are your front wheels getting hot and locking up? If they are, just changing the censors probably won't fix the problem, not for long anyway. This was a very common problem with this chassis. There was a recall for this.

Warren.....Take a good hose or a pressure washer if you have one and rinse off the back side of the front hubs/wheels/brakes. Take it for a ride and see if this resolves your issue.

This may seem weird but I have a 2003 hr imperial and I had a abs light that would not go off. We tried everything to no avail. Until we were told to check the fuel filter. We changed them and it did the trick. It seems that on some years of hr they wired that warning to save money. Sounds weird but worked for me

ABS sensors can be checked with an ohm meter... the one's I've tested and replaced are almost always on the front wheels where the wheel turns... and turns... and allows the wire to fatigue inside the insulation and than break.. in some cases you can pull on the cable and feel the insulation stretch out... that stretch means the wire inside the insulation is broken... and the connection is lost...
Small copper wire inside insulation that moves all the time from vibration and wheels movement will eventually fail... TEST, don't GUESS and replace the bad sensors....
One last thought... if the hub has enough wear for the sprocket inside the hub to pull away from the sensor.... that play in the bearings will be very noticeable ...

Really???????? Just coincidence, because the fuel filter is in no way connected to the ABS sensor

Do NOT discount the fuel filters. The computers on these things get a bit confused and many many have reported that changing filters solved the issue.
Ditto on pressure washing the front wheels.
Look for a wire going to the wheel. On my front wheels the sensors can be pulled out but it takes quite a bit of pull. I found a gob or grease on one and that cleared my intermittent issue.
My rear sensors can only be accessed by removing the wheels and drums. Heavy job.
