On my rig the ABS sensor goes in on the back side. I had a fault code once and had to pull and clean the front drivers side sensor, put it back in and that cured the ABS light.
But not sure why that would put your rig in limp mode, usually with ABS/ATC problem the light comes on but you can still drive.

On mine the front sensor just pulled out, it has some sort of spring housing the holds it in place. I just pulled it out, cleaned it good, and put it back in pressing it against the tone ring. When I drove it it must have moved to an acceptable gap, haven't had a problem with it since.

Can you pull the ABS codes? That's how I found my problem.

How are you getting the codes, doesn't look like any ABS code I've seen.

I own a Monaco, in my drivers side front electrical bay there is an ABS diagnostic module that I use to get codes. This is the procedure that is in my manual

  1. Turn key on without starting
  2. Wait ~5 seconds
  3. Press brake pedal 1 time
  4. Go outside and press the small black button on the module, press for LESS then 2 second.
  5. At that point it will go through a diagnostic routine and will blink a code on the small LED bulb next to the button. It will blink two codes
  6. A 1-1 code means all is good.
Here are the document that I use, you may have a different system. Find out the system you have and search for a trouble shooting guide. Codes start on page 26, it identifies the location and potential problem. Last code I had was a 2-1, front steer wheel gap. Removed, cleaned, and reinstalled.

You could also have deformed the pickup ring while R&R the rotor.
