Jim, old-biscuit has the answer to the problem. Their are other boards the this will affect also, heater, water heater, thermostat. Batteries also don't like AC ripple. Converters are designed to operate all house loads without batteries, so it is going bad, it affects everything 12 volt in the unit. In the end, its you equipment, we can only advise you to try to help.
