Question AC Roof Duct Leaking When Rains

Hello,

My AC duct is leaking (fast drip) dirty water when it rains. It is not coming out of my AC unit itself but the built in ceiling vents in my bedroom (which is closest to my ceiling unit). Only one vent is dripping (so far).

I understand it could be the gasket, so I will replace that anyway. But what if they duct is clogged, how do I clean it? Do I need to remove AC inside and out to do that?

I have a Damon Challenger 2006 motorhome, 372. Any duct diagram you have would be awesome.

One reason for the leak is the drain holes in the unit bottom/pan are plugged with debris. There should be about 6 drain holes around the perimeter of the pan lip. Then the evaporator coil has its own small drip pan, again with holes around the lip.

Since it is occurring only when it is raining, I'm pretty sure it is the gasket, or the AC is loose on the roof.

I'd just replace the gasket. The ducts should be fine. The water just runs downhill to the first opening it can find. Just be sure to run the AC enough to dry the ducts after you have fixed it.

Many owners can just tighten the AC back down on the gasket.
