Adjustable ball stud for bay door gas strut
2004 Holiday Rambler
Hi, I'm looking for adjustable ball stud (for slotted bracket) for bay door gas strut to keep the slideout from hitting the bay door.
The previous owner had lost one and none of the strut supplier sites show those.

Pictures added
Thank you all. Added pics of the part. I did not take it apart but looks like a plate with a guide pin in the slot is part of the stud.

That looks like something easy to make using a common stud, wing nut, short piece of flat stock and metal and fiber/rubber washer, cant tell on the washer type next to the slot. Just get a stud with long enough threads and look for a wing nut to fit. If you are not going to adjust it after install, you could just use a regular nut set it and tighten it up and forget it. All the parts except the stud should be available locally at something like an Ace or TruValue Hardware Store. Big Box also, though the service should be better in the smaller store.

Just your standard ball stud that they just used a flat plate and a wing nut to make it adjustable vs screwing the stud in a threaded hole. Try McMasterCar to get a stud that has the correct thread and thread length.

Lowflyer1, re: shoulder surgery, do the shoulder rehab exactly as the Dr/therapy technician says. I didn't, have never regained full use of my right shoulder; surgery was 46 years ago.
That ball-guide appears special-made, but showing/sending the pictures to an RV supply store might prove fruitful.

The aluminum flat and plastic t handle can be had at Menards . It looks like the brass or copper stud probably has ribs that keep it pressed into a hole. You could copy that by tapping the alum. plate grind off not needed threads and length ,or not, could use nylon bolt. The extra stud and plate is not really necessary just would let it slide more smothlyp

I think the extra plate is required.
My thoughts, the ball stud is screwed into a tapped hole in the plate.
The stud prevents the stud and plate from spinning when the knob is tightened.
Without the plate what keeps the stud from spinning?
The stud is a split spring dowel pin (slotted spring pin). It is a press fit in the plate/

The stud and knob to tighten it are pretty common. The sliding aluminum part was made/spec'd by Monaco. You'll probably have to make the assembly.

Thank you all for the info.
I was hoping to find an off the self part but looks like I need to fabricate it myself.

Probably the only way to avoid fabrication would be to check the RV Salvage yards and see what they have on hand. There are a lot of places out there and some specialize in Motor Homes.
