"Slanted towards diesel"? Now THAT'S an understatement!

As a previous gasser owner and DP owner now I can say mountain roads I travel the gasser (ford chassis) would be flat out in the floor and Revolution is in 4th chugging along and Iím sure a 500hp or more would do a lot better. Itís all about torque and HP.

Advantages of diesel over gas........

Iím looking for the Ford V-10 auto! This is marketing 101 for Cummings. Letís talk initial $$$ for diesel plus DEF vs gas, cost of fuel, same fuel tank size, annual cost of maintenance. Yes I would prefer the ride, power quiet ride, .... of diesel but it must be in your budget.

Itís if I was a Pilot, a gas engine gets you there, but yes I would rather have fly a Gulfstream G-Anything

Thatís been my point . DP s have some nice features , for a price . I canít afford the price .
If you listen to some of these people , if you canít afford a DP you shouldnít be driving an RV

I have owned two ford V10s in RVs...Loved them. Very reliable. Decent power. Horrible gas mileage!!! My experience now with a DP is that portrayed in the video. I posted the video because I got a kick out of it being kinda tongue in cheek and also clearly advertised by Cummins for their purposes. They made some good and realistic points in the video even though it was light hearted (I experienced the same things).

I personally think whatever you drive is up to you and yours. There is no "better". There is just different. cost is a huge factor and I know I will never make up for the up front cost of a DP in fuel "savings". We all know there are costs to both Gas and DP. I prefer driving the DP but that doesn't mean gas RVs are not as good or not as nice or not as enjoyable. Enjoy what you like and what you have. WE can all get to the same places and see the same beautiful scenery. Enjoy!
