Never have been rejected ever. If I did, I would make sure I'd never go there again.

This same question comes up every so often. Basically, the answer falls into two categories.

First is, "Never." That is the most common response from many, many RVers that have traveled for years. This includes a few times in which a park may ask the age, but there is no issue as the RV is well maintained. This is the overwhelming response and the one that you should accept.

Second is some variation of, "If they ask, then that's the type of campground I don't want to patronize." There are a literal handful of responses that actually mention they were rejected from anything other than a self-described "High end, luxury" park/resort, and there are a few of those that advertise clearly that they only want the "best."

In the vast majority of cases, the CG's "translate" that into:

If your rig is older than XX, we have the right to reject you.

If you have an older rig in good condition, usually not an issue.

We stayed at a number of parks with that rule in our 1993 Foretravel which was 15+ years old at the time and never had a problem.

Sure, you could run into a real "rule follower" and have a problem. If so, ask if you can e-mail them a picture of your coach. That should do it.

Rejected how? By lender or by RV Park?

If by lender, know that it is quite common for banks to refuse lending for RVs older than about 2010 models. This is merely a risk assumption limit and is understandable. However, some banks will waive the age limit if the buyer is financially qualifiable to cover a personal loan for the same amount.

As for RV parks, they usually state up front what age RVs they will accept for entry. Most that do have such a policy are trying to promote their venue as “exclusive” and luxurious, not wanting to disappoint someone with a $300k MH who has to park next to my faded, scratched rig. By the same token, I would be disappointed if I had to park next to a snob, so those fancy parks are doing me a favor by sending me elsewhere.

I'm not clear as to what the OP is referring to. RV park, Insurance or Bank??

I'm sure there have been rejections from all three at one time or another. Many reasons.

Most places are trying to keep this guy out and the "10 Year" rule is an easy way to try and do this.

I've been asked once and only once to send pics before coming and we were quickly accepted. Interestingly enough this particular park had more junky looking stuff than most of the other parks we stay at

When I'm ask how old my rig is, I ask how old the camp ground is. They usually hang up on me.

What ever age rule they have tell them your coach is 1 year newer. They won't know the difference and probably couldn't tell by looking anyway.

One Indian owned RV Park in Oregon, would not rent by the month because our RV is over their 10 year limit... So as we were in a jamb with no choice had to rent by the week...3 week maximum. After 3 Weeks, We Did find another RV park that Welcomed Us.
) side Note.. We had to produce the license registration and insurance coverage just to rent by the week or month(
