AGWS Insurance

I feel like I won the lottery I had a major breakdown rolled into a Chevy Dealer that services the 8.1 in C-Ville Va last week. I thought I knew it was the drive shaft. They ran some test and found out the we had several misfires and major problems. . I authorized " whatever it takes to get me on the road" as my son just had twins and we were on the way to see them for the first time. I did not think there was any chance the warranty company would pay anything. I told the service advisor I had a warrenty on the second day of waiting for repairs , saying I did not want to slow things down and could afford to pay for what was needed to be done. He immediately called them and they said to diagnose the problem and cost out he did and they approved ! Two rocker arms , coil and wires the motor was sounding like new. I paid the $100.00 deductible and two days later on my way. The AGWS folks were professional to deal with. I called to verify that they had paid the claim. They said my Warranty was in place until 2020 I paid a tranfer fee when I bought the Motor home about a year ago and never thought much about the policy, mostly due to what I have read in the different forums I really did not think it was worth the hassel to try and collect. This is a 2014 Holiday Rambler motor home that we have maintained for about a year.
Has anyone ever had this kind of experience?

Congrats! It's great to hear a positive story about an extended warranty claim!

More to the story
Going down interstate 77 which has about a 5 % grade I thought my brakes blew apart. I have never broke down along a busy interstate before. After a couple of hours of waiting the tow company said I had a hole in the block and oil pan. Towed back to the shop where they have 50 amp service . Now waiting for a engine from Jasper We will see if the insurance policy is going to cover. So far they say it will.

I am very happy to report we received the approval today for a new Jasper engine The estimate was just over $14,000.00 I had good records and had changed the oil 6 time in 10,000 miles and performed all required service with records. It took a lot of pictures and complete tear down . I never thought it would really be approved but 'he works in strange ways". I hope to be on the road again. Actually my brother let me use his Tiffin so I have been spoiled this past week! I report back after i drive away from the shop!
