Air Bag Dump Height Difference

Hello, I'm new to class A rv's and have a question that doesn't appear to be answered when I search for it.

What is the expected difference in height between dumped and full air bags on a 2004 Holiday Rambler Endeavor? Thanks!
Regards, Jay

The best way to know would be to measure it. Usual drop in an air suspension is only a bit over 4 inches. You can't drive with bags dumped, many RVs will have interference with the front steer tires and the fender wells. On all RVs the rear bags dumped make the drive shaft out of alignment and serious damage to U-joints or transmission tail bearing can result. Also if the engine is running the bags will immediately start to refill as soon as the dump valve is released.

Ours is about five inches. Just measure the fender to the ground then dump the bags and measure again. The bags will be at full height when you stop, so dumping them will give you the difference. HTH

All good answers but it would depend on the ride height setting and the setting for your coach is front 8 5/16 inch rear 8 13/16 . Go to this page for instructions on how to check and adjust.

Thanks Walt, after inspection I found that the u-clamp holding the height adjuster rod to the axle was loose and had slipped position causing the front of the coach to be riding low. After setting it and tightening, everything works as expected.
